Terms of Service & Privacy Policy

How IDI Tutoring Academy LLC delivers tutoring services, and how we handle the information families share with us.

Effective August 3, 2026IDI Tutoring Academy LLC · Florida, USA

This page explains the terms that apply when you use the IDI Tutoring Academy LLC (“IDI,” “we,” “us,” or “the Company”) website or tutoring services, and how we collect, use, and protect personal information in the process. It applies to prospective and enrolled students, and to the parents or legal guardians who contact us, schedule sessions, or manage a student's account on their behalf. By visiting our website, submitting the Contact Us form, or enrolling in a tutoring session, you agree to the terms below.

About IDI Tutoring Academy

IDI Tutoring Academy LLC is a Florida-based company providing personalized online and in-person tutoring to students of various ages and academic levels. Our tutors support elementary, middle, and high school subjects (K–12), standardized test preparation (SAT/ACT), and college-level coursework. We believe in the transformative power of personalized education, and our approach is designed to help each student build both academic skill and confidence.

Our Services

Tutoring sessions are delivered in one of two ways, as arranged with our administrative team:

  • Online conducted via Zoom, a secure and encrypted video conferencing platform.
  • In-person at the student's residence or another location designated by IDI.

We offer both private, one-on-one sessions and group sessions for families who prefer to share a class or work together. Availability of specific subjects, levels, and formats depends on current tutor availability at the time you contact us.

Scheduling & Session Requests

You can request a session through the Contact Us form on our website, or by reaching out directly by email or WhatsApp/SMS. When you submit a request, we ask for your name, email, the subject you're interested in, and your preferred day and session time.

The day and time you select are a preference, not a confirmed booking. We will always do our best to accommodate the schedule you request, but final availability depends on which tutors are free at that time. We will confirm your actual session details with you directly.

Standard tutoring sessions are one (1) hour in length by default. If you anticipate needing a longer session, please let our administrative team know in advance. If our team asks whether a particular session will run longer than an hour, the student's parent or legal guardian (or the student, if appropriate) is responsible for letting us know, so that we can plan accordingly with the assigned tutor. Any session that runs past the scheduled hour is subject to the parent's or guardian's approval at the time, coordinated directly between you and the tutor.

Camera & Video Policy

For online sessions, we ask families to keep a few things in mind:

  • Students are never required to turn on their camera. Whether a student is visible on camera during a session is entirely up to the student and family.
  • Tutors are required to keep their camera on for the full duration of every online session. This lets you always see and verify who is working with your student.

All online sessions are conducted through Zoom's encrypted video conferencing platform, and our tutors are trained to maintain a safe, respectful environment for every student.

Session Materials & Intellectual Property

During each session, your tutor may create worksheets, whiteboard notes, or a written summary of what was covered. These materials — along with a recap of the session — are shared with the student and/or parent afterward so you can review progress and follow up on anything the student found difficult.

To support continuity of instruction, these session notes may also be reviewed by a future tutor assigned to the same student.

All documents and materials generated during a session are the intellectual property of IDI Tutoring Academy LLC. They are shared with you for your family's own reference and follow-up only, and should not be shared, copied, distributed, or shown to anyone outside the tutor, student, and parent/guardian involved in that session without IDI's prior written consent.

Cancellations

If you need to cancel a scheduled session, please contact us directly as soon as possible so that time can be offered to another student. You can reach us by email or WhatsApp/SMS using the contact details below.

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide to us directly, including:

  • Contact details: name, email address, and phone number for the student and/or parent/guardian.
  • Scheduling information: preferred subject, day, session time, and any details shared in your message to us.
  • For enrolled, in-person students: a home or session address, where applicable.
  • Session records: materials and summaries generated during tutoring sessions, as described in Section 5.

We do not knowingly collect more information than is needed to schedule and deliver tutoring services.

How We Use Your Information

Student and family contact information is used solely for the purpose of scheduling tutoring sessions and providing follow-up related to those sessions — for example, confirming a booking, coordinating with a tutor, or sending a recap after a session.

We also use this information to:

  • Match students with an appropriately qualified tutor.
  • Maintain continuity of instruction if a student works with more than one tutor over time.
  • Respond to questions or requests you send us.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use family or student data to send unrelated marketing on behalf of third parties.

Who Has Access to Your Information

Access to your information is limited to:

  • IDI administrative staff, for scheduling and coordination.
  • The tutor(s) assigned to work with a given student, and any future tutor assigned to that same student for continuity purposes.

We do not share your personal information with outside parties, except where necessary to operate the platforms we use to deliver our services (such as our video conferencing provider), or where required by law.

Children's Privacy

Many of our students are minors. Where a student is under 18, we collect and use their personal information based on the initiation and ongoing involvement of a parent or legal guardian, who provides consent by contacting us, scheduling sessions, and communicating with our team on the student's behalf.

Parents and legal guardians may contact us at any time to review, correct, or request deletion of their child's information, as described in Section 13.

Data Security

We use secure, encrypted video conferencing tools for all online sessions, and our staff and tutors are trained to handle student and family information responsibly. While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide our services and to maintain reasonable business and academic records afterward. If you request that we delete your information, we will do so unless we are required or permitted to retain it for legal, safety, or record-keeping reasons.

Your Rights & Choices

You may contact us at any time to:

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you or your student.
  • Request a correction to inaccurate information.
  • Request that we delete your information, subject to Section 12.

To make a request, please reach out using the contact details in Section 17.

Cookies & Website Analytics

Our website may use standard cookies or similar technologies to help it function properly and to understand how visitors use the site, so we can improve it over time. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings; doing so may affect some website functionality.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Terms of Service & Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
