Terms of Service

These terms cover using this website and requesting tutoring from IDI Tutoring Academy LLC. By sending us an enquiry you accept them.

Online tutoring in mathematics, science and English language arts, from sixth grade through university level, one-to-one or in small groups. Sessions are live and take place over video.

This website does not book classes. When you send the contact form you are asking us for a session — nothing is reserved and no time is held for you at that moment.

A session exists only once we have replied, agreed a time with you, and sent you the joining link. If you have not received that reply, assume nothing is scheduled.

We will tell you the rate that applies to your session, and how to pay, before your first class. You will never be charged for anything you have not agreed to in advance.

[TO CONFIRM] Published rates, accepted payment methods, when payment is due, and whether a deposit is required to hold a slot.

If you cannot attend, tell us as early as you can and we will move the session. Tutors set time aside for each booking, so late notice may mean the session cannot be rescheduled.

[TO CONFIRM] The notice period, and what happens to payment for a late cancellation or a missed session. This is the term students are most likely to dispute, so it should be specific: a number of hours, and a clear consequence.

We ask everyone — students, parents and tutors — to be punctual and respectful. Our tutors are instructed to keep sessions safe and appropriate, and we will end a session if anyone behaves abusively.

[TO CONFIRM] Whether sessions may be recorded, by whom, and whether consent is required. Students often want a recording to revise from; tutors and parents may not agree. Decide before someone asks.

We teach. We will work through problems with you, explain what you have not understood, and help you prepare for an exam.

We will not sit an exam for you, complete graded coursework on your behalf, or do anything your school or university would treat as cheating. If you ask us to, we will decline and may end the arrangement.

We cannot guarantee a grade, a test score or an admission decision. Tutoring improves the odds; it does not control the outcome, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something.

We do our best to keep the website available and accurate, but we do not promise it will be free of errors or reachable at all times.

The text, images and teaching materials on this site belong to IDI Tutoring Academy LLC or are used with permission. Materials we share with you during a session are for your own study; please do not republish or resell them.

[TO CONFIRM] The state whose law governs these terms and where disputes would be heard. IDI is a US LLC — this should match the state of registration.
